The other day I was driving around near my pops house and noticed a fellow VW neighbor had his old wreck pulled out from the back yard... I had a gut feeling that he must be sending it off to the automobile scrap yard? So after little contemplation, I stopped by his place the next day. To satisfy my suspicion, he was calling the scrap yard that weekend! This is perfect, we have been looking for a parts vehicle for a while now! They are so hard to come by these days.
Here comes the doner 74' Westy that was generous enough to lend us some parts... Welcome to the family!
So here we go, we're in for the long haul now, my pops, me and the two vans... Here's a good shot of my dad grinding away the rusty bumper brackets and hitch.
